Zagat now available free, as part of Google+ Local

I just received this email from Zagat - Google has decided to make all Zagat reviews available free.. but only on Google+ - an attempt to get people to use the service for their local needs; hopefully they'll integrate Zagat into Google maps soon which to me would be far more useful than having to go to the rather silent and somewhat clunky Google+ for some user-generated reviews from Zagat...

This means that full Zagat ratings and reviews will now be accessible on Google to anyone who has a free Google+ account. You can also continue to access Zagat content on zagat.com without charge.

How Jetsetter leveraged a picture contest on Pinterest to increase traffic

Media_http8mshcdncomw_folrd

Great Mashable story about a travel porn campaign by Jetsetter on Pinterest; as the story says, this is a perfect combination of high-end photographs and Pinterest and i'm not surprised it worked well; regardless, it's very hard to execute such campaigns well and thus congrats are in order to the Jetsetter team. Strong prizing, explanations and use of the right platform make a successful campaign.
